Homebound Delivery

Service to begin February 1, 2021

Do you enjoy books, magazines, music and movies but need assistance in getting materials to you or someone you know?

The Butt-Holdsworth Memorial Library has a Homebound Delivery Service just for this purpose! The program is available to Kerrville and Kerr County residents who are confined to their home due to prolonged illness, extended convalescences, or advanced age and have no household member available to get to the library for items.

A library staff member contacts homebound customers to discuss what library items they would like to receive. Participants may request books, large-print books, DVDs, and books on CD. Specific items also may be requested. Customers are limited to 10 items at a time.

Staff assist with selection and pick-up/delivery on a regular schedule. Materials are checked out on the individual’s account and delivered for free by volunteers on specific dates each month. Volunteers pick up and return items at the same time. Homebound patrons must live within 10 miles of the library to qualify for delivery.

For more information, please contact the library at 830.258.1274.
