Holiday Lighted Parade

The Holiday Lighted Parade will officially welcome the holiday season and most importantly the arrival of Santa Claus riding in his signature fire truck. Parade Entries

We will begin accepting entries to the parade in September 2026 (check back here for updates). You are encouraged to submit your entry early, as the parade is limited to the first 96 entries.

Float Requirements

  • Illumination (lights other than headlights) are required.
  • 40-foot maximum length per entry.
  • 18-wheeler vehicles are prohibited.
  • Each vehicle / marching group requires a separate entry.

Important Registration Questions

Please have this information before you register so that you are able to answer the registration questions.

  • Entry Type (Float, Vehicle only, Walking)
  • Total length of entry in feet (including tow vehicle)
  • If your entry will include music of any kind
  • If your entry will include animals of any kind
  • Entry theme and description
  • Comments to be read by the parade announcer as your float approaches the Star. 40 words MAX.

How to Submit your Entry

Before you submit your entry for the Holiday Lighted Parade, please review the Holiday Lighted Parade Rules and Regulations.

All Holiday Lighted Parade entries, including payment, must be submitted online. In order to register, you must create an account via the registration link. If you are unsure if you have an account, please use the forgot password feature or call 830-257-7300.

Please note that a separate entry form must be completed for each individual entry. For instance, if your organization would like to have two vehicles in the parade, you must complete two separate registrations.

Entry forms and the $50 fee are due by November 5 at 5 p.m. Late applications will be accepted until noon on November 10, with the addition of a $25 late fee. The entry fee is non-refundable.

Entries are responsible for reviewing and adhering to all rules and regulations. The City of Kerrville reserves the right to refuse any entries not conforming to family-oriented quality and high standards of the parade. Failure to comply with rules may result in removal from parade and will affect future invitations to participate. All decisions are final. The parade line up will be sent to participants the week before the parade. It will also be posted here once it is finalized.
