City will secure items to ensure long-term preservation

Kerrville, Texas (Dec. 10, 2025) – The City of Kerrville will continue cataloguing and temporarily re-locating memorial artwork at Guadalupe Park to ensure these items remain protected as the winter weather approaches. The City is working closely with community partners to develop a thoughtful, long-term preservation plan that honors the memorials created in remembrance of  those lost in the July 4th flood that affected the entire community. 


The initial movement of select pieces occurred ahead of a recent storm, with the most vulnerable items secured to prevent further exposure to the elements. As restoration within Guadalupe Park advance, every item is being handled with the utmost respect and respect to safeguard these meaningful, shared expressions of community remembrance.
