The Kerrville Police Department Special Crimes Unit executed two search warrants resulting in four arrests and seizure of illegal drugs and U.S currency.
Travis Schafer, Julie Schalla and Nicholas Crawford were arrested in the 100 Block of Chole Lane in Ingram. Sixteen (16) ounces of marijuana and $357.00 in cash was seized at this location. The currency was seized as proceeds from the sale of illegal drugs.
Travis Schafer was arrested for Possession of Marijuana 2 to 4 ounces. Felony Delivery of Marijuana charges are pending. Schafer has since been released from the Kerr County Jail on a $1,500 Surety Bond. Julie Schalla was arrested on a warrant out of Kendall County for a Violation of Probation which originated from a Possession of Marijuana case. Schalla has since been released on a $5,000 Surety Bond. Nicholas Crawford was arrested for Possession of Marijuana. Crawford has since been release from the Kerr County Jail on a $1,500 Surety Bond.
The second search warrant, executed in the 100 block of Loyal Valley resulted in the arrest of Michael Palmer. Palmer was in possession of two (2) grams of marijuana and $700.00 in cash, all of which was seized. The currency was seized as proceeds from the sale of illegal drugs.
Michael Palmer was arrested for Delivery of Marijuana 1/4 OZ<=5LBS in a DRUG FREE ZONE, a 3rd Degree Felony. He is being held in the Kerr County Jail with a $20,000 bond.
The Special Crimes Unit investigates organized criminal activity with a special emphasis on drug trafficking. The Unit is comprised of investigators from
the Kerrville Police Department and Kerr County Sheriff’s Office.
