Chief John M. Young, Jr., and Sheriff Rusty Hierholzer announce the December 11, 2011, arrest of Zachary Gauna and Michael Gauna, on drug charges.
The Kerr County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division with the assistance of the Kerrville Police Department Special Crimes Unit conducted an investigation on two individuals from San Antonio who planned to supply and deliver Methamphetamine and Cocaine to Kerrville.
Investigators from both the Kerr County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division and Kerrville Special Crimes Unit made arrangements to meet with the suspects in the 1500 block of Sidney Baker, Kerrville, Texas.
The Gauna’s delivered both Methamphetamine and Cocaine, and one was found in possession of Marijuana. Zachary Gauna was arrested on charges of: Possession of Marijuana under two ounces in a Drug Free Zone and Driving While License Invalid. Zachary Gauna is being held in the Kerr County Jail with bonds totaling $5,200.
Michael Gauna was arrested on two charges (1) Manufacture/Delivery of Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1 less than 1 gram of Cocaine; and (2) Manufacture/Delivery of Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 1 more than 1 gram of Methamphetamine. Michael Gauna is being held in the Kerr County Jail with bonds totaling $55,000.
All drug charges against the Gauna’s were enhanced because the deliveries occurred in a Drug Free Zone.
