The deadline for a candidate to file for a place on the ballot is March 14 at 5:00 p.m. in order for their name to appear on the ballot.
Kerrville-City Secretary Brenda Craig announces that persons interested in running for Place One or Place Two on the Kerrville City Council on the May 14, 2011 ballot may pick up a petition and candidate packet from the city secretary at city hall, 800 Junction Highway, or by calling 792-8302 Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The deadline for a candidate to file for a place on the ballot is March 14 at 5:00 p.m. in order for their name to appear on the ballot. The deadline for a write-in candidate to file an application is 5:00 p.m. March 21.
City Secretary Brenda Craig has completed certification of the petitions and declared the following persons to be official candidates on the May 14, 2011 ballot:
Place One: Bruce Motheral
Place Two: Stacie Keeble.
In accordance with the City Charter, any person who lawfully qualifies, and is a registered voter may file an application for election for a place on the City Council. The name of such candidate and the place for which he/she is filing will be affixed by the City Secretary at the time of issuance. Such application shall include a petition signed by not less than 75 qualified and registered voters of the city and shall include a filing fee of $25.00; however, the filing fee shall be waived where the petition includes the signatures of not less than 100 qualified and registered voters of the city.
