[ARCHIVED] Kerrville Police Department Promotes Officer

Chief John M. Young will administer the oath of office to Degenhardt during a promotional ceremony where he will receive his stripes for his promotion. Degenhardt will be assigned to Field Operations Division as a Patrol Supervisor.

The ceremony which will be held at the Kerrville Police Department will also serve as a "Welcome Back" ceremony. Degenhardt is returning to our community after a year of service to his country from being deployed to Iraq as a member of the Texas National Guard. Degenhardt is a member of the 1st Battalion 141st Infantry which is a component of the 72nd Brigade Combat Team.

Degenhardt has been with the Kerrville Police Department for more than 6 years. Degenhardt began his career in Law Enforcement with the Bellaire Police Department in 2001. Degenhardt holds an Advanced Peace Officer and Instructor certification. Degenhardt has served in Patrol, Special Operations Unit, and the Special Crimes Unit.
