Information
This park along the Guadalupe River is the city’s busiest. This city park offers a variety of fun camping options such as 30 & 50 amp RV sites, tent camping, cabins, and even a Ranch House. Facilities include the Recreation Hall, the Dining Hall, and day-use facilities, including a playground, butterfly garden, sand volleyball, basketball, 10+ miles of hike and bike trails, river access, River Trail Trailhead, kayak, and canoe rentals, fishing, and picnic areas with standing grills throughout. With 517 acres, this is the largest municipal park in Kerrville. While this park is pet friendly, pets are only allowed in the RV area and on the hiking trails. Leash law applies.
Hillside Closure: Kerrville-Schreiner Park to Host Annual Bow Hunt
Kerrville-Schreiner Park will again host the wildlife management bow hunt in December. For safety, the Southside / Hillside area of the park will be closed from November 29, 2023, through December 17, 2023. The Hillside will reopen on Monday, December 18, 2023; however, the Riverside of the park will remain open to the public, as usual.
Trail Closure:
The Red Trail marked Trailhead 4; 4A & 4B are closed until further notice for waterline placement.
The RED TRAIL will be closed from Sept. 11, 2023, until Sept. 14, 2023. Kerrville-Schreiner Park field operations will be performing waterline trenching through the "red trail" on the HILLSIDE of the park in order to improve our water system.
All trails, including day use on the Hillside, will be closed on the weekend of Oct. 27th thru Oct. 29, 2023.
The entire Hillside of the park will be closed to all-day use and through traffic in order to host the upcoming Annual Mountain Bike Festival. The Hillside will reopen for trail use & day use at noon on Monday, October 30, 2023.

- NO WOOD-BURNING FIRES OR CHARCOAL GRILL FIRES
- NO OPEN FLAME FIRES; FIRE RINGS & ALL FIRE GRILLS AT EACH CAMPSITE ARE OFF-LIMITS
- PROPANE GRILLS ALLOWED; ALL PROPANE GRILLS MUST BE USED WITH A SECURED LID AND FOR COOKING PURPOSES ONLY. PROPANE FIRE RINGS ARE PROHIBITED.

2024 SOLAR ECLIPSE ANNOUNCEMENT
Kerrville-Schreiner Park would like to announce that we are now taking reservations for the 2023 & 2024 Solar Eclipse.
Below are Rules & Regulations that will be applied from April 2nd through April 9th, 2024:
- Reservations will not be available online.
- No refunds will be given once a reservation is made. No-shows or cancelations will result in a forfeiture of all fees. Sites are non-transferable.
- Tent sites are for tent camping only; no dry camping. All RVs need to be parked in designated RV sites.
- Two vehicles maximum at all sites; vehicles include trucks, travel trailers/motorhomes, tow vehicles, storage trailers, or motorcycles.
- All sites are assigned; no site-specific sites will be available.
- Special pricing will be for April 2nd thru April 9th. Any reservations before or after April 2nd thru April 9th, 2024, will be at the standard rates.
- Four-night minimum stay with a mandatory Monday (April 8th) overnight.
- Two sites per reservation; no group reservations. (Two vehicle max per site.)
- Eight-person maximum at all campsites (included in your price); any extra people or extra people will be turned away at the gate and not allowed entrance.
- Six person maximum at all cabins, regardless if they sleep in or out of the cabin; any extra people will be turned away at the gate and not allowed entrance
- Day Use Permits and Annual Passes will not be honored from April 5th to April 9th, 2024; the hiking / bicycle trails will also be closed during this date range. Advanced reservations are required for an overnight stay; walk-ins are not accepted on the event day.
- All vehicles and persons entering Kerrville-Schreiner Park must check in at the Park Office; everyone staying overnight must retrieve an overnight guest pass to enter and stay in the park.

Kerrville-Schreiner Park is now accepting reservations for campsites and amenities. Please note that the Park Office lobby is still closed to the public; we are operating via drive through, and someone will be right out to help you.
